Custom Boot Fitting

Helm of Sun Valley's reputation as good boot fitters is the corner stone to our business. Most of our boot fitters have year's of experience and some have decades. (That makes me feel old.) Not months like many shops. We send many hours in formal seminars and in-store trainings.

We start by taking a good hard look at your foot and ankle, asking LOTS of questions. With that information and with our knowledge of our vast boot inventory, we make recommendations of which boots are likely to fit well and meet your performance needs. Then with our guidence and your input, together we evaluate fit. Ninety-five percent of good boot fitting is finding the right shell shape (the hard outer part of the boot) to match your foot shape. Not by buying a boot and then relying on boot modifications to make it fit.

In addition, after you have purchased a boot from us we continue to back our product by offering a 1 year boot fit policy. From 1 year after the purchase date you are welcome to come back and visit us as many times as you like for additional fitting. From boot stretching to heel lifting to cant adjustment we are devoted to backing our product to give you the best fit possible.

We also offer custom footbeds, custom “Zip-Fit” liners, foam-injected and thermo-moldable Intuition liners along with an army of other tools that are at our disposal to help give you an optimal fit and a great skiing and snowboarding experience.
